Recent Trends Involving Photocatalytic Research

It think the most important factor for successful research is people. One cannot easily proceed with research by oneself. There is a need for several researchers to interact and build up a good climate. And, while each individual researcher must have curiosity concerning the natural mechanism, in order to see not a portion but the entirety, it is important to act in concert in pursuing a solution that is harmonized. There is a Chinese proverb, by the ancient philosophy book "Zhuang-zi," which in Japanese is referred to as "shin-patsu-kei." This means that first one must "polish the rusted sword in order to start afresh" — and I believe this fits me perfectly. In particular, for photoca-talysis, I would like to center upon this idea.
