Nagoya Sees Photo-catalyst 2005 Held in Tandem With Expo, Welfare Show

Photo-catalyst 2005, which brought together exports and industries involved in this rapidly-growing market, was held from May 20 through 25, at the Port Messe Nagoya exhibition center. The city of Nagoya this year is a partial host to the world exposition, and thus host to this event — first to be organized by the city as a commemorative gathering focused on the Expo Aichi 2005 — organized in tandem with the 8th international welfare industry fair. Some hundred firms/organizations and over 70,000 visitors gathered to gain insight into this 'environment-supportive' business field (an apt adjunct to the expo with the theme of 'nature's wisdom') that is expected to grow to a 4 trillion-yen market over the next two decades (i.e., year 2020).
