An Observation of the Earth Tides in the SPring-8 Storage Ring

The SPring-8 storage ring is under the operation dedicated to synchrotron light users since October, 1997. The stability of the electron beam orbit during a long term of the operation is one of the main subjects to be achieved. Data on the beam orbit taken for this purpose show very clear signature of an effect of the earth tide.
