New Technologies at the 32nd Tokyo Motor Show

A biennial event that is a motor enthusiast's dream, the 32nd Tokyo Motor Show was held over a period of 13 days from October 24 to November 5, 1997 at the Japan Conven tion Center (Makuhari Messe) in Makuhari, Chiba Prefecture. With a show theme of "Connecting You and transportation. One World. One People. One Show", the show had 337 participant companies and organizations from 14 countries. The booths of the automobile manufacturers were much enjoyed by the visitors providing exhibitions of many concept cars and new technologies. Parts and related equipment manufacturers also introduced the latest, leading technologies in their fields. This article introduces some of these new technologies by highlighting some of the exhibitions in the show.
