Revolt! The Next Great Transformation from Kleptocracy Capitalism to Libertarian Socialism through Counter Ideology, Societal Education and Direct Action

John Asimakopoulos' Revolt offers a libertarian socialist analysis of the present crisis and of the need for change towards a non-capitalist future. His analysis of the crisis draws from the Social Structures of Accumulation tradition, which represents the American equivalent of the French Regulation School. Both schools argue that capitalist expansion depends on construction of relatively coherent institutional complexes that stabilize class conflict and facilitate rapid accumulation for extended periods of time. As such complexes do not eliminate capitalist contradictions, the eventual magnification of these contradictions brings periods of relatively rapid accumulation to an end.
