Preface to the Special Section on Language Descriptions, Tools, and Applications (LDTA 2011)

This special section is dedicated to selected papers of the 11th International Workshop on Language Descriptions, Tools, and Applications (LDTA 2011) that have since been revised and extended. The workshop was held in Saarbriicken, Germany, March 26-27, 2011 in conjunction with the European Joint Conferences on the Theory and Practice of Software (ETAPS 2011). The workshop received 25 full submissions of which 11 were accepted by the program committee and of these, two papers were selected for this special section.
