摘要

Vascular corrosion casts of body organs of the canine, equine, bovine, ovine, porcine, feline, and caprine species were prepared. In some of these species, principal features of vessel morphology of the heart and spinal cord have been demonstrated by vascular casts in which the perfusion produces a three-dimensional view of what were vascular pathways of blood after removal of the walls of the vessels. Macroscopically, small vessels such as the dorsal and ventral spinal arteries and coronary arteries were demonstrated. Also, at the macroscopic level, the tortuosity of blood vessels is often preserved in comparison with the use of other perfusion compounds which may alter normal blood vessel morphology. In addition, the luminal diameters of blood vessels at this level are approximately retained in vascular corrosion casts.
