A firewall stood its digital ground and student data was protected after roughly 300,000 separate devices around the world began sending millions of messages per second to the Kentucky Department of Education's Infinite Campus network. The attack stopped parents from accessing their children's grades, homework assignments and more. A computer science student was arrested by the FBI. The 19-year-old used advanced malware to take over webcams to record women without their knowledge. One of the victims was Miss California Teen USA, who later earned Miss Teen USA.
