Global Leadership: A New Framework for a Changing World

PepsiCo's chief executive, Indra Nooyi, may well represent the global leader of tomorrow. As a member of the Future of Enterprise panel at the 41st World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Nooyi captured the attention of the audience and her fellow panel members with her "Performance for Purpose" platform (Nooyi, 2009) which stated that PepsiCo will deliver superior sustainable financial performance through human sustainability, environmental sustainabil-ity, and talent sustainability. According to Pep-siCo's charter, purpose is more than corporate social responsibility-it is the driving factor for sustained performance.
