This special issue, edited by Dr. Anthony Buono at Bentley University, is dedicated to The UN Global Compact (GC) and the PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) Initiative. Buono was able to gather an international collection of experts to discuss key aspects of this important topic. The authors explain that "PRME is a partnership between higher education institutions, particularly management and business schools that endorse the PRME Principles and United Nations Global Compact. ..." The introduction by Buono along with the other five articles provide the reader with a wealth of information. Each article is highlighted in the contents pages. The important topics address what corporations and business schools are doing using the UN Global Compact to focus on ethics, sustainabil-ity, and responsible management education. Many concepts here can provide business schools with a blueprint for directing their programs and courses to address social responsibility in a meaningful way. The reader may notice that the authors spell some words the European way. We changed these words in most cases to the American spelling to make it easier for the reader. For our purposes, either American or European spellings are treated as equivalent (for example, labor or labour).
