摘要

The personal business perceptions of people in different countries can vary. This study sheds light on the ethical maturity of Russian working adults based on age, gender, education, work experience, management experience, and government work experience. Older Russians appeared to have a higher level of ethical maturity than younger respondents and so did Russian females compared with their male counterparts. More educated and more tenured Russians seemed to be more ethical, but Russians with management experience appeared to be less ethical than those without it. Understanding these differences can benefit those who deal with this workforce. An ethical culture starts with individual ethical behavior. As an organization, being ethical can result in positive public attitudes, which, in turn, will help the organization succeed in the long run. As a society, an ethical environment can help prevent bribery and corruption, creating more social equality and trust of local and foreign businesses.
