摘要

Several Australia-based cruise ships were caught up in the alarm over A/H1N1 influenza (commonly dubbed 'swine flu') in early June.rnThirteen passengers from P&O Cruises Australia's Pacific Sun were detained in Auckland. When the 1,896-passenger vessel berthed at the New Zealand port during a South Pacific cruise from Brisbane, it was met by health authorities. One woman with flu-like symptoms and 12 of her associates were separated from other passengers and placed in quarantine in their own homes for a week.
