摘要

Recent investigations have shown that type II superconductors placed in a magnetic field can be not only in the mixed state with phase coherence (the Abrikosov state) but also in the state without phase coherence. It is suggested to use switching between these states to create superconducting gates. Experiments show that, in structurally uniform thin films, the switching is due to pinning at the film edge and occurs in magnetic fields much less than the second critical field.
