MODELING SYNCHRONOUS-MOTOR STARTUP, TAKING ACCOUNT OF SATURATION AND THE MAGNETIC-LAG ANGLE

A method is proposed for calculating transient processes in a synchronous motor, taking account of saturation, losses in the steel, and the magnetic-lag angle, on the basis of Park-Gorev differential equations. The matrix of mutual inductances in coordinates d, q rigidly fixed in the rotor is presented, taking account of the relevant factors.
