摘要

Steady operation of a thyristor longitudinal compensator (TLC) is considered; the characteristics of a flexible transmission line with a TLC are presented. The power-control characteristics in a transmission line with a TLC are discussed. The calculation of the operating conditions of transmission lines with TLC is illustrated. The devices most commonly used to regulate the power flux in transmission lines, i.e., to create flexible electrical transmission (FET), are thyristor longitudinal compensators (TLC) based on regulation of the current in a reactor by means of antiparallel thyristors; these are sometimes called thyristor-controlled series compensators (TCSC). Such devices are simple and considerably cheaper than other FET devices based on completely controllable powerful converters. With the increasing practical interest in FET in Russian power systems, attention focuses on TLC. However, there have been practically no Russian analyses of TLC operating conditions and characteristics and the capabilities of power regulators in electrical transmission.
