摘要

The characteristics of thyristor-controlled longitudinal compensators used to create flexible (controllable) ac power lines are considered. The influence of the external characteristics of such units on their range of power regulation and their static and dynamic stability is investigated. The speed of such units is estimated, and their influence on the shape of the current and voltage curves is demonstrated. Damping of active-power oscillations using a thyristor-controlled longitudinal compensator is illustrated.
