Built-in Filters to Suppress Vibrations in a Linear Elastic Electric Drive on Account of Reduction in the Effective Mass

The vibration of electric drives with elastic links is considered. The characteristics of programmable filters built into electric drives so as to suppress vibration are presented. For the example of instability of account of reduction in inertia, the benefits of lag—lead filters are outlined. Such filters increase the margin of stability in terms of the amplitude and thereby prevent vibration of the drive.
