Zrealizowany uk?ad przetwarzania sygna?u umo?liwia okre?lenie jego cz?stotliwo?ci nawet w przypadku wyst?powania znacznych zak?óceń. Uk?ad i jego oprogramowanie zoptymalizowano pod k?tem oszcz?dno?ci zu?ycia energii. Przeprowadzono analiz? zu?ycia energii w poszczególnych fazach pracy i uzyskany wynik zweryfikowano eksperymentalnie.%A signal processing system for a vortex meter with reduced energy consumption is presented in the paper. The principle of operation of the vortex meter as well as the measuring signal properties are described. The designed signal processing system consists of two parts: analogue and digital ones. The analogue part is composed of two parallel channels. In order to determine the signal frequency reliably, the special software has been applied. On the basis of the signal magnitude and its initially measured frequency, the decision-making algorithm enables determination of the signal frequency. Due to application of the proposed new method of counting the full periods and measuring time (of these full periods), the counting error in frequency measurements can be strongly reduced. The hardware and software of the system has been optimised from the point of view of supply energy savings. The essential favourable factor for energy saving is the cyclic mode of operation. Measurements are taken every 5 minute. It is possible due to the observed fact that the flow rate in real industrial circumstances never changes in the sudden manner. The analysis of energy consumption in separate phases of the system operation has been performed. The obtained results have been experimentally verified. Moreover, it can be stated that the system can operate on one set of batteries over one year.
