IHST's 2011 Focus: Helping Enhance Safety in Daily Operations

With several years of accident analysis and countermeasure development under its belt, the International Helicopter Safety Team is turning its attention helping pilots, mechanics and small operators better put its work to use in daily operations. The executive committee of the team, which is pursuing a goal of cutting helicopter accident rates 80 percent from 2005 levels by 2016, is scheduled to meet during HELI-EXPO 2011 to define the next steps it must take to meet that goal.
