114th Congress: New Year, New Faces, New Agenda

The 114th U.S. Congress has arrived, with a new Republican majority in the Senate and the GOP in control on both sides of Capitol Hill. But Republican control of Congress doesn't mean an easy ride for any one set of initiatives. President Obama has vowed to veto bills he opposes. The question becomes, will Democrats stand behind a lame-duck president and support his presidential vetoes? Despite the run-up to the 2016 presidential elections, the politics of which could lead to another two years of legislative paralysis, the members of this Congress have a very full plate, including one item of particular interest to the entire aviation community: FAA reauthorization.
