Researchers at University of Ioannina Release New Data on Alzheimer Disease

According to the authors of a study from Ioannina, Greece, "The aim of this work is to provide ansupervised method to assist the diagnosis and monitor the progression of the Alzheimer's disease (AD)nusing information which can be extracted from a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)nexperiment. The proposed method consists of five stages: (a) preprocessing of fMRI data, (b) modelingnof the fMRI voxel time series using a generalized linear model, ? feature extraction from the fMRInexperiment, (d) feature selection, and (e) classification using the random forests algorithm."
