According to the authors of recent research from Singapore, Singapore, "A model entitled the MECglu nmodel is employed to investigate the effect of the initial geometric size on the equilibrium responses of nglucose-sensitive hydrogel. With consideration of the chemo-electro-mechanical coupling effect, the nmodel simulates the finite stimulus responsive deformation, which is associated with the electric potential nand the fixed charge density in the hydrogel and the surrounding solvent, as the response to the change nin the glucose concentration of the external solution."
