Fresh data on Applied Bioinformatics are presented in the report 'DROP: an SVM domain linker predictorntrained with optimal features selected by random forest.' "Biologically important proteins are often large,nmultidomain proteins, which are difficult to characterize by high-throughput experimental methods.nEfficient domain/boundary predictions are thus increasingly required in diverse area of proteomicsnresearch for computationally dissecting proteins into readily analyzable domains," scientists in Tokyo,nJapan report.
