Current study results from the report, 'A hybrid biomimetic nanomatrix composed of electrospunnpolycaprolactone and bioactive peptide amphiphiles for cardiovascular implants,' have been published.n"Current cardiovascular therapies are limited by the loss of endothelium, restenosis and thrombosis. Thengoal of this study was to develop a biomimetic hybrid nanomatrix that combined the unique properties ofnelectrospun polycaprolactone (ePCL) nanofibers with self-assembled peptide amphiphiles (PAs). ePCLnnanofibers have interconnected nanoporous structures, but are hampered by a lack of surface bioactivitynto control cellular behavior," investigators in the United States report.
