According to the authors of recent research from Hefei, People's Republic of China, "A tunable stiffnessnand damping vibration isolator based on magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) is developed. In thisnisolator, four MRE elements are used as the tunable springs, whose stiffness can be controlled bynvarying the magnetic field."
