UK's first multilingual road signs aim to help overseas hauliers

Efforts are being made to reduce the accident risk of lorry drivers who do not read English. A series of electronic road signs are being deployed in Cumbria, at the approach to the M6, to help lessen the risk of hauliers from overseas taking wrong turns at the junction. The road signs are portable and have been placed along the A66 and A69 to warn of overnight junction closures and improve road safety.
