摘要

The authors present a hypothetical case to highlight that the path to increased road condition accuracy does not solely belong to increasing survey precision, as has been the case in recent time. Utilising cheap survey devices with increased sample sizes can not only meet current accuracy levels but theoretically increase accuracy by significant margins, all at a fraction of the cost.
