Review of road maintenance regime

The Interim Report of the New Zealand Road Maintenance Task Force details the results of a review of significant cost factors in the New Zealand road maintenance sector and existing business practice (asset management, risk management and procurement methods). Areas for improvement are identified. The Task Force noted that there is room for increased efficiency by having road controlling authorities take a 'one network' approach.
