A laboratory study for Austroads aimed to develop a more robust long-term ageing test method and resolve the issues associated with the current Australian durability test method, which include equipment sustainability and testing time duration. Research into the development of a new durability test included the use of two new devices (the pressure ageing vessel (PAV) and the dynamic shear rheometer (DSR)).
