New research from Parks Associates says TV homes with broadband are gradually signing onto over-the-top TV (OTT) services - with or without traditional pay TV services. In the U.S., 57 percent of broadband homes now subscribe to an OTT video service, while 7 percent (8.4 million U.S. homes) of homes have broadband and an OTT service but do not subscribe to a pay TV service. That 7 percent includes consumers who've dropped pay TV service and those who have never subscribed to pay TV.
