The economy may have taken a dive in 2008, but you wouldn't know it from looking at executive compensation rates. Of the 17 publically traded waste and recycling companies monitored by Resource Recycling, CEO salaries in 2008 increased by an average of 5.3 percent, compared to an approximate average of four percent for U.S. non-farm employees.
