During the economic rollercoaster of the past two years, as the G-20 member countries put together fiscal stimulus packages of varying sizes, a common theme emerged in many of them: substantial funding for clean energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction. Certainly not every stimulus package sought to support these priorities, and there were varying degrees of emphasis on low-carbon or green jobs, but the packages that did revealed the priorities of the respective governments and provided a glimpse of the future global economic landscape.
