The article offers information on developing an essential research library workforce. It says that the report "The Once and Future Library," reveals an outlook for future academic library that has dramatic transformations on the role of librarians which are more collaborative, dynamic, and complex. It suggests that future library workforce requires diverse skills, competencies, and aptitudes that would support learning and teaching methodologies needed in higher education and research processes.
