OPTOELECTRONIC MODULE INCLUDING A MULTI-CHANNEL PROJECTION LENS SYSTEM

An optoelectronic module operable to generate a structured-light pattern includes an array of laterally disposed laser diodes, wherein each laser diode is operable to generate a first emission. The module further includes an array of laterally disposed mask tiles laterally separated from each other by a mask gap. Each mask tile is positioned to intercept the first emission from one or more of the laser diodes thereby defining an intercepted first emission, and each mask tile is operable to modify the intercepted first emission thereby generating a second emission from the intercepted first emission. The module includes an array of laterally disposed projection lenses, wherein each projection lens within the array is configured to intercept the second emission generated from a corresponding one of the mask tiles, thereby generating an intercepted second emission. Each projection lens within the array is operable to modify the intercepted second emission thereby generating a third emission from one of the intercepted second emissions. The third emission generated from each of the projection lenses with the array of projections lenses together generates the structured-light pattern.
