Dr Ulmer is a singer, horn player and pianist, which explains her interest in compiling this bibliography. As the title indicates, she concentrates on the modern period although there is a considerable number of works for this combination in earlier centuries. The arrangement is by composer and gives titles and the year of composition, whether they have been published, details of individual movements, timing, level of difficulty, horn key, range and special techniques, the vocal range, language of the texts and annotation.
