This electronic encyclopedia of folklore is an updated and expanded edition of the 1997 version by the same name. The foreword is written by Thomas A. Green, the editor of the first edition, but the editors are new. Charlie T. McCormick, PhD, is currently the vice president for academic affairs and provost at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. He was previously a professor of folklore and English at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Kim Kennedy White, PhD, is an independent folklorist and has taught courses in folklore, mythology, children's and folk literature. New contributors have also joined the over eighty international scholars who contributed to the first book, adding new material and a fresh organization.
