The study of drama, theatre and performance is a continually changing discipline. The Drama, Theatre, and Performance Companion, written by Michael Mangan and published by Palgrave Macmillan, aims to provide a student guide and companion to this changing discipline. This companion is a comprehensive introduction to the many aspects of drama, theatre and performance, including sections on acting, devising and directing; key concepts with explanations; an encyclopedia of foremost practitioners, theorists and performances; tips on study skills; and advice for future studies and careers. While the companion is geared mostly towards university and higher education students enrolled in drama, theatre, performing arts and performance studies departments, it also includes information for researchers and teachers. This single volume reference source is intended to be a broad resource that can be used over the course of study. As such, subjects that are covered in this companion will require additional research for which the book's length does not allow.
