Grasping the realities of man's capacity to inflict horror on their fellow man can be difficult. Never again! has been the battle cry from the holocaust through Kosovo, and yet we fail to learn from our history, fail again and again to step in when the vulnerable are threatened with atrocities and death. Helping students understand is critical. Human Rights Studies Online by Alexander Street Press provides documents, letters and streaming video content related to all kinds of human rights abuses -genocide, refugees and the holocaust to name but a few. The combination of resources, from the very personal appeals and narratives to the big history explanations, are necessary to begin to comprehend the horrors and their reverberating impact on generations that follow. At the time of this review, the database included 270 video titles and over 4,000 documents.
