My first impression of this monster was its sheer bulk and weight. Three massive volumes totalling 12 pounds on my kitchen scales. Being an old fogey, I far prefer printed texts to e-books for reviewing purposes, but getting this lot home from my little cubby-hole in the Institute of Psychiatry involves carrying it a mile or more across Blackheath, by the end of which I was definitely beginning to change my mind.
