Few other manufacturing industries in the United States have managed to successfully survive the economic hills and valleys the way the American solar heating industry has. It has done so by cleverly overcoming obstacles and impediments that sometimes seem to attack from all sides. Companies like AET, on the east coast and SunEarth in the west have kept the industry alive and well with guts, grit and gumption for nearly two generations. While the number of residential and commercial installations is just a sliver of what it should be, industry leaders remain confident in the future.
