Reactive and functional polymers: Changing features but conception unchanged

I cited in Introduction, some parts of EDITORIAL of the first issue as the philosophy of our Journal and reviewed its history. Incidentally, the philosophy of my approaching to functional polymers is in good accordance with that of our Journal, especially with the concept meant by words in the last part: Our focus is on the frontiers, on new materials, ideas, techniques, and concepts rather than on refinements or details of theory, design, or processes.rnIn concluding this article, I express my sincere thanks to Professor Yasuyuki Tezuka who organized this special issue and executed the editorial business to make up such a valuable landmark book.
