We always have a bit of a dilemma when a trainer arrives at the office for review. Do we pass it to someone who's new to model flying and let them assess it unhindered by preconceptions of acceptable quality or expected performance? Or, do we send it to one of our regulars for a comprehensive report on how it performs measured against other aircraft they've owned or flown? Tricky one that. In truth, the reality is that both would provide valuable information, for, as we well know, the humble common or garden high-wing trainer is probably the most frequently flown model aircraft configuration in the country.
