At about four years of age when my mum bought me my first balsa chuck glider from the Woolworths store which backed onto Evesham municipal park. On the hill overlooking the river Avon I arguably 'invented' slope soaring in 1959! Unquestionably the first controlled laps with a Keil Kraft Phantom Mite control-liner at around eleven years of age, this after weeks of failed attempts with a Keil Kraft control-line kit called the Champ.
