Losing a model in a crash is bad enough and although most of us accept the BMFA safety code, some fail to apply a few of the basic rules that guard against models disappearing forever The first mistake | folks make is to not label their model with a name and address. It may well be that they fear the consequences of an accident when it eventually lands but an absence pretty well assures that the pilot will not get the model back and, as we know, a lot of money can be lost. If the facility is available, all R/C models should be programmed with a fail-safe setting, indeed to ignore this is an obvious failing.
