I was interested in your editorial as it coincided with something that I have just learned. I was browsing the Desire RC website for something when I came across a 3-axis g meter for models. I then telephoned the company and had a long chat with owner Simon Wythe. Simon mentioned that he also stocks an automatic landing system. I gather that you switch it on at the threshold of the runway then take off and fly round as normal. When you are ready to land you switch on the landing mode and the system takes over and lands the model exactly where it took off from, even in a 25 mph cross wind!
