There's been a surge of interest in electric-powered retro models recently, indeed the number of emails I've received from those involved in the difficult, early days of this fascinating area of aeromodelling has been quite staggering. I was particularly pleased to hear from Barry Larkin in Devon, who not only sent me some pictures of his Flittermouse but also offered to sell me an untouched MFA Hummingbird kit. This adds a third of these rare and sought-after pioneering models to my collection, to sit alongside the Magicfly and Islander that have previously seen renewed exposure in these pages.
