As the late George Peppard used to say "I love it when a plan comes together" and that's pretty much how I felt as I drove home on the Sunday evening after a full weekend of sailplane flying at the UK's ultimate aerotowing venue. The Ghost Squadron hosted the event once more at the Middle Wallop Army Base near Andover, one that offers an astonishingly expansive area of mown grass with no obstructions for as far as the eye can see. The weather forecast delivered on a promise of sunshine, very light breezes, a little smattering of developing cumulus set against an otherwise inviting canvas of clear blue sky. On arrival at the new location, a little further down the airfield this time, the stage was already set out for aerial action.
