It's funny how aeroplanes and design projects come about. Last year a friend brought along some photos of his father's full-size, kit-based homebuild project, the EricClutton Fred and asked if I might be interested in designing a sport scale R/C version for him. Now Eric Clutton is a very well-known designer of both full-size and model aircraft, with such classics as the Sharkface (last month's free classic plan) to his name, so I was a bit concerned that I could do the aircraft justice given the credentials of its designer. Nevertheless I agreed and what you see here is the results of a conversation over burgers and beer.
