While not a long building task, there are more parts to the Gee Bee Sportster than many small ARF models, but all fitted accurately and the instructions will satisfactorily guide the experienced modeler through the assembly process. As for flying, an experienced taildragger pilot who appreciates that a small model can soon become a tiny speck in the sky will have no problems flying this little cutie. This model replicates the distinctive looks of the Gee Bee Sportster well, offers good performance for reasonable outlay and is a well thought-out kit. As a bonus, after flying, I don't even take her wing off ― I just pop her into the back seat for the drive home. As a "change of pace" for this traditional "balsa butcher," the Graupner/Hobby Lobby Gee Bee Sportster was enjoyable to assemble, went together well and performed as well as it looks. A little study of the instructions, a little careful work, and you could be experiencing the flavor of Aviation's "Golden Age" in a clean, compact, and easy to live with package.
