Piedmont & Northern Corridor sees first trains in more than 20 years

After more than 20 years of inactivity, the North Carolina Department of Transportation's (NCDOT) Piedmont & Northern Railroad Corridor (P&N) saw trains rumble along the line from Gastonia to Mount Holly on Feb. 20. Patriot Rail will provide freight rail service and will operate the line as the Piedmont & Northern Railway.
